CIE 2025 Proceedings

Abstract

Educational innovation finds its greatest purpose when knowledge is shared, inspires others, and creates new opportunities to transform teaching and learning. This issue of LUMEN presents a compilation of 98 abstracts presented at the 2025 Educational Innovation Congress (CIE2025), an event that brought together educators, researchers, academic leaders, students, and
professionals committed to building a more relevant, inclusive, and innovative higher education system.

CIE 2025 reaffirmed the Central American Technological University’s (UNITEC) commitment to promoting innovation, research, and academic collaboration. 

Through a hybrid format, more than 1,000 participants had the
opportunity to exchange knowledge, analyze trends, and share experiences that demonstrate how educational transformation requires scientific rigor as well as creativity, technology, and collaborative work. 

The presentations and lectures addressed highly relevant topics, including artificial intelligence applied to education, active learning methodologies, digital transformation, learning assessment, and the development of competencies to respond to the challenges of a constantly evolving world.

This report showcases the talent, dedication, and commitment of its authors to the generation of knowledge. More than a compilation of experiences, this publication stands as a testament to the collective effort to strengthen educational innovation and promote a culture of continuous improvement in higher education.
