Abstract

ABSTRACT: Introduction: In this brief review of the book "Pandemic: the Covid-19 shakes the world" by Slavoj Žižek, developed and published during the first year of confinement, the main theoretical elements of the book are addressed. The starting point is aspects related to his philosophical view of the new normality, the epicenter of the crisis, the rethinking of society, and the potential scenarios. Method: An analytical method based on a documentary review of the main author's work was employed, focusing on the main themes addressed by him. Conclusion: Žižek's text constitutes an important work that delves into the immediate implications of the crisis, warning of future scenarios derived from a new normality.
