Abstract

A few years ago, the 3M company, together with Deusto Business School, presented a study on polymathy as a key element for innovation in the digital age. The term polymathy comes from the Greek Polymátheia, which means “many knowledge.” A polymath is a person who is capable of acquiring and mastering various areas of knowledge, skills, and disciplines. They are professionals who explore, connect, and apply ideas from diverse sources; therefore, they use a multidisciplinary approach to problem solving and innovation.
