Abstract

Every four years, the head of the executive branch is elected in accordance with the democratic principles of the State of Honduras, leading to structural changes in the public administration, such as the mass dismissal of permanent civil servants. The objective of this paper is to highlight that the alternation of power leads to a violation of the principle of job stability for these workers, which was achieved by identifying the increase in related lawsuits filed for unjustified dismissals in the competent court during the periods of 2018 and 2022, a phenomenon that increases when a new political party comes to power.
