About the Journal

Focus and scope 

Innovare is an electronic scientific journal of science and technology published in Honduras by Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana (UNITEC) since 2013, multidisciplinary, semestral, bilingual and double-blind peer-reviewed. Its objective is to disseminate the scientific production of Honduran and foreign researchers in various fields of science, focusing on aspects of technology and innovation, as well as their application in the local and global context.  

Innovare is an open access journal. The journal is managed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/). Innovare bases its standards on international scientific publication requirements such as the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) (http://www.icmje.org/), the Committee for Publication Ethics (COPE) (https://publicationethics.org). See the policy section. The concepts, judgments and opinions expressed in the articles are the responsibility of the authors.

Periodicity 

Innovare publishes 2 issues per year. Starting in 2024, Innovare will have a continuous-publication style, with issue closings on the 30th of each corresponding month (June 30 and December 30).

  • Format: electronic.
  • Content: multidisciplinary with a focus on aspects of technology and innovation. 
  • Languages: starting with Vol. 8, No. 2, Innovare accepts articles in Spanish, English, or both languages simultaneously. 
  • Article process: double-blind peer review system.

  • Type of publication: open access.  
  • Article submission: via Open Journal Systems platform in the journal's portal. Submissions by e-mail are not accepted.  
  • Originality policy: the journal uses programs to evaluate plagiarism, which will be a criterion for rejection of articles. 
  • Cost: Subscription is free, and there are no costs for submission or publication of articles. Operating costs are sponsored by Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana.
