Abstract
The Taular Technological Institute is listed as one of the best performing educational institutions according to the Academic Aptitude Test (PAA) of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (UNAH), a phenomenon that has raised the interest of the academic community dedicated to the study of education. Presentation of experience: The performance of the institution is linked to the integration of atypical innovative pedagogical aspects in the national context. These aspects are: curriculum, teaching staff, preceptories, personalized attention, extracurricular activities and horizontal management. Discussion: Among the mentioned aspects, the curricular mesh stands out, since pedagogical spaces are structured according to specialties and not in generalities of science. In addition to the curriculum, a determining element for the success of this center is the flexibility of time and management, since management responds to a horizontal and not a vertical structure. Besides that, the majority of teachers have experience in teaching and are specialists in the subjects they teach. Another aspect related to their performance is personalized attention. This is described in tutorials for students and parents, as well as in the monitoring system and the extracurricular activities that are carried out to complement the academic and human training of students. Conclusion: The combination of these elements places the center as one of the best academic institutions in the country, despite the fact that all students are below the poverty line. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License.
