Abstract
For the second time, the Centro Universitario Tecnológico (CEUTEC) in Tegucigalpa held a Scientific Conference, inviting faculty and students from the institution to present their research projects. The event took place on August 31, 2022, virtually via the Zoom platform, during a half-day session that began with welcoming remarks by Dr. Reyna Durón, Director of Research at UNITEC-CEUTEC, and Iris Gonzales, Academic Deputy Director of CEUTEC Tegucigalpa. This edition featured the participation of 8 faculty members and 2 student researchers who presented their research to approximately 200 virtual attendees. These presenters also competed for first and second place awards in both categories: faculty and student. Finally, the event featured a keynote lecture by Honduran scientist Dr. Yvelice Castillo, Ph.D., on the topic: Images from the James Webb Space Telescope and Their Implications. The event served as an opportunity to learn about the recent and ongoing research of the CEUTEC Tegucigalpa community and an open invitation to participate in future editions of this local event.
