Abstract

Honduras faces an undeniable challenge in implementing industrial policies. While there is talk of attracting foreign direct investment, there are no clear policies in place to make the country attractive and safe for investors. Many countries are clear examples of economic growth. Southeast Asia is home to the so-called Asian Tigers (South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong). Forty years ago, they were in worse conditions than some African countries. The Center for Documentation, Information, and Analysis (2020) has proposed maximizing savings and investment as a key to implementing industrial policies. This significantly facilitates exports, access to cheap labor, and adjustments to the workday. Similarly, it is recognized that labor discipline, coupled with limited employee benefits, paved the way for improved training programs.
