Abstract
A community outreach program has become in recent years an asset for any university, mainly because it is understood as a competitive advantage. It fosters a different kind of link with society by allowing universities to project knowledge towards the community. This paper analyzes UNITEC’s current community outreach model from the perspective of its process, in order to understand the constraints that it is actually facing as well as the quality of the projects that are actually carried out. This is done by comparing the in-house model with those used in other universities of the region, in order to propose improvements that could boost subsequent improvements. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License.
