Abstract
Introduction: The logistics sector requires more efficiency and quality in its operations, allowing processes to rely on automated and robotic solutions to be able to fulfill the deliveries of orders to customers. The study aim was to apply as teaching practice a distribution design and laboratory processes of logistics systems assisted by collaborative robots for the simulation of storage and preparation of orders in a distribution center managed by students of the Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana in Honduras. Methods: A laboratory was created to simulate a distribution center or warehouse, with activities of receipt of shipments and storage, preparation, processing and dispatch of orders. Results: The most efficient team (team 5) finished the order processing in less time. However, this team also made the most losses. Conclusion: The experiencia helped promote automation in logistics processes. Students learned about the importance of managing strategies, times and customer satisfaction in logistics. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License.
